Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information IYIYI LLC ("iYiYi", "we", "us") collects when you use the iYiYi app and website (the "Service"), how we use and share it, and the choices you have. Contact: info@iyiyi.xyz · IYIYI LLC, 930 S 4th St Ste 209, Las Vegas, NV 89101, USA.
The short version
- We use your location to show you people nearby and to show your profile to them. Other people never see your exact location, only an approximate distance.
- We don't sell your personal information, and we don't show third-party ads.
- You can hide from the map (Ghost mode, Safe zone), make your account private, and delete your account at any time.
1. Information you give us
- Account: email address or phone number, password (stored encrypted by our sign-in provider), or your Apple / Google sign-in identifier.
- Profile: username, profile photo, bio, country, profile type, tags, websites and social media handles you add.
- Content: photos and videos you post or take with the iYiYi camera, comments, likes, saves, messages and chat in games, event details and RSVPs.
- Reports and support: reports you file about content or users, and emails you send us.
2. Information collected when you use iYiYi
- Location (precise, while the app is in use): used to find people and events near you, show your profile to people within your chosen range, run location-based games such as laser tag, and apply your Safe zone. Others see only an approximate distance, never your coordinates. Photos you post show a city name at most.
- Camera and microphone: used only when you open the camera, record a video, make a video call or aim in camera games. Laser-tag aiming analyses camera frames on your device to detect people; those frames are not uploaded or stored.
- Photos: we only access photos you choose to upload, and we save photos you take to an iYiYi album on your device.
- Motion and compass: used on your device for game aiming. Not stored.
- Usage and device data: profile views, follows, game results and app interactions; device model, OS version, app version and crash reports.
- Purchases: if you subscribe to iYiYi Pro, Apple or Google processes the payment. We receive a receipt confirming your subscription; we never see your card details.
3. How we use information
- To run the Service: accounts, profiles, Nearby, the map, the feed, games, events, messaging and iYiYi Pro.
- To keep people safe: reviewing reports, removing content that breaks our Terms of Use, blocking and banning abusive users, and preventing fraud and abuse.
- To fix bugs and improve the app (crash reports and aggregated usage).
- To send notifications you allow (follows, game invites, event reminders). You can turn them off in your phone's settings.
- To measure which ads or links brought people to the app (iOS only, see section 4).
- To comply with the law.
4. How information is shared
- With other users: your public profile, posts and approximate distance are visible to others according to your privacy setting (Public, Private, Ghost). Private accounts show content only to approved followers.
- Service providers who process data for us under contract: Supabase (database, sign-in, storage), Cloudflare (website hosting), Sentry (crash reporting), Apple and Google (sign-in, payments, push notifications, maps), and AppsFlyer (install attribution, iOS only).
- Legal reasons: when required by law, to protect someone's safety, or to investigate abuse. Reports involving child safety are handled under our Child Safety Standards.
- Business transfers: if iYiYi is merged or acquired, your information may transfer under this policy.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Your choices and rights
- Edit your profile, privacy setting (Public, Private, Ghost), Safe zone and visibility any time in the app.
- Turn location, camera, microphone, photos and notifications on or off in your phone's settings.
- Delete your account in Settings → Delete my account, or by following these steps. This deletes your profile, posts and personal data; some records may be kept for a limited time where the law requires or to prevent abuse.
- Depending on where you live (for example California, the EU or UK), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, or object to certain processing. Email info@iyiyi.xyz and we'll respond within 30 days.
6. Data retention and security
We keep your information while your account is active and delete it when you delete your account, except where we must keep it longer for legal, safety or fraud-prevention reasons. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and protected with access controls, but no system is completely secure.
7. Children
iYiYi is for people 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, email info@iyiyi.xyz and we will delete it.
8. International users
iYiYi is operated from the United States. Your information may be processed in the US and other countries where our service providers operate.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. If a change is significant we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
